It’s that time of year again, the NBA season is just days away. Just like millions of NBA fans are making their preseason predictions, the NBA’s GMs are setting their predictions in stone as well. The NBA’s annual general managers survey took place today and we now know who is expected to raise the Larry O’Brien trophy in June.
The Cavs are the favorites by a land slide but should they be? I think they should be. After dominating the East last year for most of the season, I think they would have actually won the title if they weren’t hit with major injuries to key players. First Kevin Love went down yet they were still able to shoulder the load but losing Kyrie Irving late in the playoffs was too much to over come. Headed into this season, I think the team is more determined than before. They’ve added Moe Williams and Richard Jefferson to the roster and a healthy Anderson Varejao which will add valuable depth to the roster.
With the Cavs favored to win it all, it doesn’t come as a surprise that LeBron James was voted most likely to win MVP.
LeBron is a safe bet because he has continuously shown to be the best player in the NBA but I don’t think he will win MVP this season. I think his team is loaded and the roster has lots of players who will produce which will give LeBron a lighter load. I could see Kevin Durant, James Harden or maybe even Anthony Davis as league’s MVP.
