He’s back, and with a major partner behind him.
It looks like Bad Boy Records is back in the major record label business after Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs announced that he’s teaming with Epic Records for an exclusive partnership.
According to Billboard, the deal will reportedly include some heavy distribution from Epic for two upcoming Puff Daddy albums, as well as promotion, marketing, and sales for the rest of the Bad Boy artist lineup.
“Today, of course, Puffy is truly in a league all his own, continuing to influence culture and ignite musical revolutions time and time again. He’s a true innovator and I could not be more excited to join forces once again,” Epic Records chairman and CEO, L.A. Reid, said in a statement.
To celebrate the signing, Puff Daddy will perform new music at the BET Hip-Hop Awards scheduled for Oct. 13 in Atlanta.
