Emmanuel Mudiay Says SMU Would’ve Won it All With Him

Emmanuel Mudiay says SMU would've won it all with him

Before Denver Nuggets rookie Emmanuel Mudiay elected to play professional ball overseas out of high school, he initially committed to play for Larry Brown at SMU.

The Mustangs were still a solid team without the services of Mudiay, but he could’ve been the piece to put them over the top.

“I’m confident we would have won the whole thing,” he said. “I really believe that. I think we (Brown and himself) would have been a real, real good match. We’re a good match now and he hasn’t physically been my head coach. I listen to him. They beat UConn twice (last season), and they (the Huskies) won the championship.”

Unfortunately, we’ll never find out and the Mustangs are facing problems of their own these days.
