Fan Remains in Critical Condition After Fight Outside of Dodger Stadium

Dodger Stadium

Not only have athletes been in hot water with each other, but it seems as though games are becoming unsafe for fans.

According to KTLA 5, two fans were involved in a physical altercation; Of the two, one remains in critical condition.

The fight occurred about 10:30 p.m. Friday outside Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Officer Mike Lopez said.

The victim, whom Lopez described as “younger” but not a juvenile, was critical but stable, the officer said.

No one was arrested, Lopez said.

Lopez did not know if the fight occurred between fans of opposing teams or fans of the same team, and, if so, which team.

A witness to a fight that occurred around that time said an altercation took place in Lot L of the Dodger Stadium parking lot. A fight broke out and a Mets fan threatened to shoot a Dodgers fan, whose mother began to scream at the Mets fan to get away, the witness said.

This story is one of many altercations that have been occurring between fans this season. There have been murders, shootings and senseless fights. To all who attend games, please conduct yourself in a positive manner. Rivalry can be fun, but it shouldn’t be at the expense of hurting others.
