GGG became a household name with his dominant PPV performance from MSG last night and he’s put himself in position to become one of the biggest names in combat sports. Ronda Rousey was in the same position a few years ago and capitalized on her opportunities, so it’s no surprising to hear that Golovkin holds Ronda in high regard.
“I know her; we’ve been training maybe two, three times together in boxing gym,” Golovkin told MMAjunkie. “She is nice lady. She’s great athlete. She’s the best female athlete in the world. She’s a beautiful lady and beautiful person. I like her. She’s tough.”
“She’s good,” Golovkin said. “Beautiful performance. She has great technical (skills).”
We will see if GGG can prove to be as dominant as Ronda over the next few years but for now its safe to call this ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Friendship.’
