There are several reports coming out of Valley Ranch on if Dez Bryant will return this week or not. One thing we know for sure is that the team has really suffered in his absences. Although Dez didn’t participate in team practice today, he worked with the training staff on the side doing rehabilitation activities. Regardless to when he returns, he will be sporting some new footwear that is expected to be added protection for his surgically repaired right foot.
The Cowboys and Nike have spent the last few week collaborating and working on a special cleat for Dez. Nike (Jordan) have made adjustments to Dez’s normal cleat, mading it wider as well as strengthening a plate in the shoe. The new cleats arrived last week and Dez wore them today during some of his off the field work. The word is he “looked good” during his limited activity but is still viewed but some as a long shot to play Sunday in a NFC East matchup with the New York Giants.
