The recent news of Lamar Odom has NBA players showing moral support all over social media. Even former Laker teammate Kobe Bryant went to visit Odom at his bedside. It looks like Odom had a couple more former teammates stop by Thursday.
Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers visited Odom Thursday after returning from their preseason game Wednesday in China.
Though Odom was only a teammate of Paul, Griffin and Jordan for one season in 2012-13, he left his mark as a great person
Griffin spoke on his visit Saturday before practice.
“He probably has no idea we were there, but just to be there and to see him, hopefully he knows there’s a lot of guys that love him and want to see him do better and want to see him get better,” Griffin said before the Clippers’ practiced Saturday.
Paul also spoke on how everyone loved LO (Odom) and the teammate he was.
“LO is just one of those guys who, when he was on our team, he had that veteran leadership. He knew what it took to win. He was very lighthearted. When things got a little bit too serious, he was the one who kept us relaxed and laughed and stuff like that. He’s just an unbelievable guy.”
Currently Odom is now reportedly conscious and breathing. We’re all wishing Odom a quick and speedy recovery.
