When Steve Smith was let go from Carolina, the fanbase was devastated. He was the heart of the team and sometimes their monster, no one can deny the passion Smith felt for the Panthers. Steve Smith went on to the Ravens, but fans still refer to him as one of the best Panthers to date and even wish for his return.
Earlier this season, Smith announced he was retiring from football, but of course fans were hoping he would retire in blue and not purple. And it may not just be Panther fans who went to see him in Charlotte, his son Peyton tweeted those exact thoughts earlier this week.
