Fans are constantly badgering players on social media when they fail to make plays. Tyrann Mathieu was the target of one fan’s Twitter rant on Sunday after he failed to make a tackle on Steelers WR Martavis Bryant, which resulted in an 88-yard TD scamper.
This was essentially the play that made it highly improbable that the Cardinals could come back and get the victory. After the game Mathieu apparently saw the tweet, and the result was some Twitter backlash.
It wasn’t that bad, but Mathieu has to learn to have thicker skin. Fans will constantly have their opinions and output. Sometimes you just have to let it go.
