Things were looking very bleak for the Kansas City Royals late in game 4, as they trailed 6-2. However, the Royals stormed off five runs in the top half of the 8th.
For insurance purposes, Eric Hosmer hit a two-run homer in the 9th to give Kansas City some breathing room.
On the bright side, Houston has an opportunity to redeem themselves Wednesday, but at the same time, can they recover from this meltdown?
The logical answer would be yes, but sometimes the logical answer isn’t always right. Based on what I’m hearing, the expected matchup for game 5 is Collin McHugh versus Johnny Cueto.
Cueto has been struggling since being traded from the Cincinnati Reds and during his lone start in this series, Houston was able to tee off on him for a total of six runs.
Houston is hopeful to have similar results against Cueto Wednesday night in Kauffman Stadium.
