Buckeyes QB, JT Barrett, has finally resolved the case in his arrest for OVI, when he was caught driving intoxicated. The Buckeyes are trying to stay as quiet on the issue as possible, but here are the details.
Per the Columbus Dispatch, the Ohio State quarterback has been fined $400 and had his drivers license revoked for 180 days. Quietly, right in the midst of all the hoopla at the University of Missouri on Monday, Urban Meyer announced that, after serving a one-game suspension, Barrett will resume practice and be available for the Buckeyes this Saturday against Illinois.
The strangest part of the story is that there is usually a mandatory 2-week suspension for alcohol related incidences, which Barrett clearly isn’t serving, but no one is really sure how Urban Meyer was able to make this happen.
