Carolina Panthers Send Fans Package After Father’s Murder (Video)

Carolina Panthers, Luck

The Carolina Panthers are no strangers to serving their community or their fans, and upon hearing this story, fan or not, you have to admit this team gets it right every time.

Twin brothers, Malik and Mikehi, are going through something most kids never want to see happen, their father, Michael, being murdered. The Greensboro police visited the home of the boys two weeks ago to deliver the bad news of their father being shot in a parking lot; hours later he passed in the hospital. The boys were very close to their father who stressed the importance of an education and also good football. The family are Carolina Panthers fans and when the school counselor heard of the unfortunate events, she reached out to the team and they responded quickly.

The twin boys recieved an unexpected package from the Panthers that included personal notes and autographs from Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly and Head Coach Ron Rivera. Check out the video below to see the heartwarming reactions:

The Carolina Panthers brought two young boys some happiness during the most difficult time of their life. Its the simple things of just letting fans know they aren’t just a number and their fandom means something. The NFL has been pitching the slogan “Football is Family” and the Panthers showed the perfect example. Keep Pounding.
