Former Atlanta Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson died yesterday after falling into a coma from a “catastrophic organ failure” at age 29. Hanson was the number 4 prospect in all baseball in 2008 and made his debut with the Braves in 2009. He has a very good rookie season finishing third in the Rookie of the Year voting.
Unfortunately Hanson suffered several back and shoulder injuries that prevented him to fulfill his potential, he also spent some times with the Francisco Giants’ minor leagues.
