The last time Auburn plucked a quarterback from the junior college ranks, they got Nick Marshall, and hasn’t taken long for Franklin III to get compared to him.
John Franklin may not be as quick as Nick Marshall but he has dynamic straight-line speed. Auburn has lacked this in 2015.

John Franklin III enrolled East Mississippi Community College. At 6-feet-2, 185 pounds, he is a dual threat who has emulated Nick Marshall.

I’m not sure if Franklin III will be as productive for Auburn as Marshall was, but they definitely need to find a way to upgrade the quarterback position.
Jeremy Johnson didn’t live up to preseason expectations this year, and Sean White has been trying to guide a sinking ship ever since. This will ensure good competition in the spring down in Auburn.
