How Vegas Dave’s $240K Winning Bet on Holm Was Confirmed

You’ve probably heard of Vegas Dave before. He made national headlines a few weeks ago for winning $2.2 million on a Royals World Series bet. This time he’s back in the news for placing a $20K bet on Holly Holm to defeat Ronda Rousey.

Dave explained what made him place such a large bet on the underdog.

“I’ll put $10,000 on her every time against her and just keep doubling up because eventually she’s [Rousey] going to lose—that’s my philosophy,” he said. “It just takes one lucky punch. I’ll put $10,000 on her if they let me do it. I’ve got balls.”

Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter decided to do some digging and couldn’t find evidence of Dave placing that bet.

Dave responded to the photoshop allegations by posting his payout confirmation:

To all the people that are saying my ticket is fake. Here is confirmation it was not and paid!! Anyone that uses the William hill app can verify! I win 2.5 million on the royals but u think I would fake 240k on a MMA fight. Some people need to get a life and hustle as hard as u hate CC @officialmmajunkie

Botter decided to contact a few more sources at the sports book and got confirmation of the bet.
