During Monday’s Gotham, DC gave us a sneak peek from it’s new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the short clip, Batman wakes up chained up in some underground tunnel. Enter Superman who walks right up to Batman and yanks his mask off. Both stare menacingly at each other. End clip. The entire trailer will premier on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
This is an odd meeting between the two in this trailer. Superman scowls the entire time and the setting seems off. Superman having henchmen? Tying Batman up along with some other random guys? It doesn’t make sense and makes Superman look villain-ish. Either Superman is under the control of someone, like Lex, or there is some other trickery going on. Either way, it just continues the intrigue of the film and keeps people talking.
This is an intense moment and if it ends up being something silly like a dream sequence, well let’s just not even go there because I do not want to think negatively. Marketing is on point with this film and everyone is eating up all this hype. It will either lead to an epic showdown between the two DC Titans or a huge let down but I don’t think there’s anything to be worried about here. Everything surrounding this movie looks great and I will be there day one to watch this. Maybe even day two, three, and four.
