The reigning NBA champion, Golden State Warriors, are off to a 16-0 start, which has triggered conversations of whether or not they can surpass the 1995-1996 Bulls record of 72-10.
Meanwhile, the runner up, Cleveland Cavaliers, are off to a solid start of their own at 11-4, but it’s nothing when you compare it to 16-0.
LeBron James has accomplished a lot of things in his career, but one thing he’ll like to add to his resume is being apart of a 70 win team. In order for Cleveland to reach that feat, they’ll have to finish 59-8 and that simply just isn’t going to happen.
“You’ve got to have talent, man. You gotta have talent. You gotta have talent. That’s the No. 1 thing,” he said. “No matter if you’ve got the greatest system in the world, you gotta have talent to be able to equalize that and execute that. But I don’t know. It’d have been great to be on a team to win 70 games, it’s just another feat in your career.”
Maybe this could be a possibility next year if Kyrie Irving starts the season off healthy.
