Has Darrelle Revis lost a step?
It’s commonly asked question, but this time when ESPN analyst Darren Woodson asked it about the Jets cornerback, Revis took it personal.
Woodson questioned whether the Jets cornerback still has it on Friday while a guest on Mike & Mike in the Morning:
“I just think his time as being the elite No. 1 cornerback is pretty much over. . . . He’s a 30-year-old corner now. Let’s just call it what it is. Just watching him this past week against Amari Cooper, and Amari Cooper’s . . . going to be a special wide receiver, but that matchup, if they really wanted to go at Darrelle Revis the entire game, Amari Cooper would have had at least 150 yards. He would have had a huge game against Darrelle Revis.”
Revis responded swiftly:
“I think it’s funny,” Revis said.
“He’s a comedian,” Revis said, via Daniel Popper of the New York Daily News. “Definitely.”
Cooper didn’t gain 150 yards receiving Sunday — with the rookie finishing with five catches on nine targets for 46 yards, his lowest total of the season.
