After the debacle in Oxford in which he was forced to watch from the sidelines, and then the coming out party against South Carolina last week, Kyler Murray is officially the starting quarterback for Texas A&M.
Head coach Kevin Sumlin opened the quarterback competition back up last week after a rough stretch by former starter Kyle Allen.
In a surprise to absolutely no one, Sumlin said QB Kyler Murray is starter going forward.

Murray is a former five star recruit, and statistically one of the best high school quarterback the state of Texas has ever seen. His talent is undeniable, but he is being pushed into action a lot sooner then some expected.
Murray had a good game in his first start against South Carolina, but I will be interested to see how he performs against a tougher opponent, such as LSU, who still remains on the schedule.
With the freshmen now under center, it will be interesting to see if Kyle Allen opts to stay around or weight his options elsewhere. In my opinion there is no way he sits around with for the next two years with Kyler taking over.
