The Detroit Tigers will reportedly sign Jordan Zimmermann to a long term contract worth $110M for 5 years. The Tigers fell short to make the playoffs and needed to make some moves for the upcoming season. Acquiring Zimmermann is a good step in the right direction.
Zimmermann, a two-time All-Star, is the National’s all-time leader in wins, innings, strikeouts and games started. He will bring depth to the pitcher position which already has Justin Verlander who tweeted his excitement to the potential signing.
Twitter saying the #Tigers just made a big move… Hope it's true!! I have always enjoyed watching Zimmerman pitch. #GoTigersGo

Tigers will definitely be stronger with Zimmermann, the fans should be happy with the front office is doing their homework this offseason.
