Bills Boobie Dixon Wants to End Jets Playoff hopes

BOOBIEWith another regular season almost over and another postseason without the Buffalo Bills looming, what is driving the Buffalo Bills to play? They haven’t made the playoffs since 1999 and this season is no difference. Rex Ryan in his first season as coach for the Bills brought high expectations along with his huge personality. They have failed to match the expected success placed upon them. Rex Ryan’s old team the New York Jets are one win away from clinching a playoff breath. His players want to make sure that isn’t the case. Buffalo Bills running back Boobie Dixon gave his team some extra motivation.

“We got something to play for now,” Dixon said. “We been having something to play for — that’s our respect and our pride. We always want that. But to send them home packing — that would be great. Dixon said, via ESPN

“We’re not going to the playoffs, so the Super Bowl is next week for us. I know we’re gonna have a lot of guys jacked. We already know what’s on the line.”

The last four times the Buffalo Bills went to the Super Bowl they lost, so Boobie deeming this the Super Bowl isn’t exactly the smartest idea. Rex Ryan has always been an outspoken coach and has encouraged his players to follow in his footsteps. Boobie adds some extra pressure on the Jets as they travel to Ralph Wilson Stadium looking to clinch a playoff berth.
