Do you remember Dwayne Bowe?

Let us jog your memory, he was once an All-Pro wide receiver in Kansas City and one of the most reliable pass catchers in the league. He signed a free agent deal with the Cleveland Browns last offseason and has since been non-existent. This season he’s been a healthy scratch from 8 games and has racked up a total of 31 yards.

In comparison, both Tom Brady and Marcus Mariota have more receiving yards than Bowe.

Bowe isn’t concerned about his lack of production, in a recent statement he expresses why he feels he can still be a playmaker in the NFL.

“It’s hard because I feel like I can contribute,” Bowe said to Cleveland.com.

His play on the field says otherwise, yet in still Bowe seems content to wait out his time in Cleveland on the bench and he has a good reason for doing so.

“If something’s not working, you might want to go to something else, but I’m a player, not a coach. I’m also a team player, so whatever they want to do, I’m all about that. … Of course I can still play. I show it every day in practice. I feel like if they put me in there and threw the ball to me, I would’ve made big plays.”- Bowe

I’m sure his $9 million dollars in guaranteed money is keeping him warm at night. It’s the reason Bowe hasn’t been cut by the Browns this season and it’ll be the reason he will be on a different roster next season.
