Rockets star Ty Lawson finally got an ending to one of his DUI cases. He will not go to jail for his 2nd DUI this year, but instead did receive a lengthy probation.
Via TMZ:
TMZ Sports broke the story … Lawson was arrested in L.A. on July 14th after cops say he was wasted and speeding down the 101 Freeway at 2:30 AM.
Lawson had previously been arrested for DUI in Colorado back in January.
Now, we’ve learned Lawson’s attorney entered the no contest plea Friday — and he’ll get 4 years summary probation as punishment.
As for the Colorado case, Lawson has already pled guilty to DWI and failure to drive in a single lane — and will be sentenced in January.
Lawson has been suspended by the NBA for 2 games based on the guilty plea in Colorado — unclear if he’ll face more discipline for the situation in L.A.
