It’s just been a rough 24 hours for Missouri sports to say the least.
Yesterday, news broke on the Rams officially leaving St. Louis for the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles.
Now, the Mizzou basketball program is under some heat.
For the last 19 months, the University of Missouri has worked with the NCAA enforcement staff to review potential violations in its men’s basketball program involving the former coaching staff of Frank Haith. As a result, Mizzou has self-imposed several penalties, including a postseason ban for the current season, which means the Tigers will not participate in the Southeastern Conference tournament in Nashville.
Missing the postseason won’t really do too much damage, considering this team wasn’t good enough to make it anyway.
However, missing the SEC tourney will cost the program money and with this still being a fluid situation, there could be more penalties handed down.
