1st baseman Chris Davis of the Baltimore Orioles just struck gold in receiving the biggest contract in franchise history. Jon Heyman of MLB Network first reported the the high profile signing on twitter.

This contract will place him amongst the highest paid players of his position. There has been a number of high profile signings this offseason. With one of the top remaining big hitters signing such a lucrative deal one has to wonder the market for the remaining free agents at his position.
