The NFL,NCAA, and other major contact sports leagues are well aware that concussions pose a significant threat to their long-term viability. Leagues have introduced new protocols and safety measures to combat the problem, however advances in equipment technology are still lagging behind.
Vicis Pro Inc. aims to change that with their prototype helmet that is designed to significantly reduce the impact of repeated blows to the head. Their YouTube video features commentary from Seahawks Wide receiver Doug Baldwin, and former NFL stars Tony Dorsett and Roger Staubach.
