The day is finally here, PBC has locked in a date and location for the Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman vs Shawn Porter fight.
UNCASVILLE, CT. (January 22, 2016) – Undefeated Keith “One Time” Thurman will defend his welterweight world championship against former champion “Showtime” Shawn Porter on Saturday, March 12th in a highly anticipated showdown at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
This fight has been in negotiation since Mayweather’s last fight in September. Porter is coming off a dominant showing over Adrien Broner and Porter is coming off a lack-luster title defense against Luis Collazo. The two fighters will step into the ring after nearly 8-months off, which makes this any man’s fight.
One thing is for sure, it’s nice to see PBC actually delivering on their promise to give fans the marquee match-ups they want to see.
