Unified light heavyweight title holder Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev obliterated Jean Pascal in their rematch Saturday night in front of 9,866 at the Bell Centre, in Montreal.
Kovalev was methodical in his battering of Pascal — causing Freddie Roach — working as Pascal’s trainer for the first time — to stop the fight after the seventh round.
After — Kovalev had a hilarious confrontation with Adonis Stevenson — the lineal Light Heavyweight champ from Montreal — who was ringside.
“I want to unify all the titles. I would like to fight Adonis ‘Chicken-son,'” Kovalev said and made a chicken sound.
Stevenson (27-1, 22 KOs) charged the ring just as Kovalev called him “Chicken-son” and the altercation was on.
“Hey, this is me. I’m the champ! I’m the real champ,” Stevenson said.
