Update on Derrick Rose’s Knee & Hamstring Issues

Derrick Rose The Return

Derrick Rose has missed three games in a row with a hamstring issue, but now it is coming to light that he has more than just a sore hammy.

ESPN is reporting that Rose is also dealing with a sore right knee and he will have an MRI to see if there is any structural damage to the knee.

Rose tore his meniscus in his right knee in 2013 and had surgery to remove it in 2015. Here is what Rose had to say about his injuries.

“I feel good,” Rose said. “I feel all right. I just overworked myself. I gotta figure out the days where I’m going to sit. I have to do a little bit better. But the games I have rolling, just tried to give myself a little bit more than I had. And it backfired on me. Tomorrow the MRI. I know everything’s going to be fine. But It’s more reassurance.”

“Just can’t push off the way I want to,” he said. “I was able to work out. Lift and shot a little bit. But just overworked myself.”

All of this is interconnected, if your hamstring is bothering you can lead to knee issues and vice versa. Hopefully, it is nothing serious and Rose will be back soon.
