UFC fans were up in arms when the EA UFC 2 beta showed CM Punk with an 85 rating. That rating suggest Punk is above-average as a UFC fighter despite never appearing in the octagon.
UFC game director Brian Hayes felt the need to clear the air behind CM Punk’s rating:
“I’m pretty sure CM Punk, when the game locks in, is going to have the lowest overall rating in the game,” Hayes said. “But when he does have his first fight, if he just lights it up and looks like a prodigy, we’ll have to go into the servers [and bump him up].”
Figuring Punk is fighting a glorified amateur match in his debut I’d expect the rating to stay the same for the foreseeable future.
