Can this year’ Super Bowl winner be predicted by the number of concussions a team has? Well, a legal blog run by personal injury practice Katherman, Briggs, and Greenberg have shared a very interesting infographic on the number of concussions suffered by NFL teams during the past four years.
The most compelling part of the infographic is the rate of concussions in championship games. According to the infographic, the team that has sustained the most concussions always wins the Super Bowl. The graphic goes all the way back to the Baltimore-San Francisco Super Bowl and shows that each winner had indeed sustained the most concussions during their postseason run.
So what team is set to win this years Super Bowl based on this same rationale? Well according to the data, Carolina has six total concussions and Denver only has three. This does not bode well for Denver, so the Broncos may want to consider some designed runs for Peyton up the middle.
