It’s odd that the best team in the Eastern Conference has been the center of more negative attention than any other team in the league. After firing former head coach David Blatt, the Cavs have continued to win under coach Tyronn Lue but it still seems like something is missing. According to BleacherReport, the Cavs have their eyes on a few players they would like to inquire before the trade deadline if the price is right.
Kyle Korver, Tyreke Evans and Omer Asik are on the short list of players that the Cavs are interested in. They have multiple Trade Player Exceptions which other teams would be interested in. I don’t see the Cavs moving anyone who currently plays big minutes for them. I could see the likes of Timofey Mozgov, Richard Jefferson and/or Anderson Varejao being used as trade bait. It has also been reported that the Atlanta Hawks are in full tank mode. They might be willing to give Korver away for nothing.
