It looks the Miami Dolphins are tired of losing. The Dolphins finished last in the AFC East this year which is a division the New England Patriots own. The Patriots have won the division 12 of the last 14 years showing complete dominance. The Dolphins have only 1 division title since 2001 but it may take another one soon for new head coach Adam Gase to keep his job.
Gase was hired for his offensive mindset and his ability to get the best out of quarterbacks. As bad as it sounds, he’s future rest in the hands of quarterback Ryan Tannehill. According to yahoo.com, Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross has Gase on a very short leash.
“After three years, if we haven’t made the playoffs, we’re looking for a new coach. That’s just the way it is. The fans want it.”
Then to try and soften the blow, Ross had a few encouraging words to say about hiring Gase.
“Instead of getting a retread that really hasn’t had a great track record as head coach, I was looking for somebody that really could be the next, if you will, Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, you know, really great head coach, and I think we got one.”
In my opinion, him mentioning Belichick and Percells puts a lot more pressure on Gase. I hope he can handle it or he will be without a job sooner than he knows.
