Kobe is playing in his final all-star game and it’s customary to have it be a showcase for a departing HOFer but Kobe doesn’t want any handouts.
Kobe on if he’ll go for the All-Star MVP: “Why? I’m good. I’m good. I’ll make a couple jump shots.”

Kobe mentioned that he’s only looking to play 10 minutes or so in the All-Star game but that can always change if he steps on the court and has the hot hand.
Oddsmakers are banking on that because they’ve listed Kobe as the player with the best odds to win the MVP trophy.
Odds to win 2016 NBA All Star Game MVP via @BovadaLV:
Kobe Bryant: 7/5
Stephen Curry: 5/1
LeBron James: 8/1
Russell Westbrook: 8/1— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) February 12, 2016
Kobe already has 4 ASG MVPs, tied for most all-time, and 5 MVPs would give him the record.
