Linebacker Stephen Tulloch took to his Instagram to announce that he will not return to the Detroit after a productive 5-season stint. He had been the model of health before tearing his ACL during his sack dance in 2014.
Luckily for the 31-year old, there are a lot of landing spots. The inner division rival Bears were among the league’s worst against the run and the talent on the defensive side is lacking. They desperately need a crop of new defensive talent but also a veteran leader to tie it all together. The Giants were bottom dwellers in most defensive categories so Tulloch could help hold things down in a time of transition.
By far the team that makes the most sense is Philidelphia. The Eagles were the worst in the league against the run. They also have Jim Schwartz as their defensive coordinator, who coached Tulloch in his time with Detroit.
