Once again we see that Floyd Mayweather resfuses to close the door on retirement. In a recent interview overseas Mayweather was asked about taking another fight and ending his retirement, his answer left us with even more questions.
It’s been crazy numbers that’s been thrown at me of course, nine figures. You know, I’ve had money thrown at me from so many different countries… If I get the itch to come back, it really won’t be for the money but I’ll have to get paid, that’s why the nickname is Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
…As of right now, I am out completely.
What exactly does “as of right now” mean? Can a Pacquiao rematch bring him back for a 50th fight? Will a showdown with an older & more seasoned Canelo be enough to tempt Money May?
He continues to leave these little opening for a return but not elaborate on them. We will all just have to sit back and let it play out.
