Most people today who love the game of basketball would agree that Steph Curry is the greatest shooter in the history of the NBA, or at least the best in the game today. However there are a few people that would disagree with that opinion, and Oscar Robertson appears to be one who fits that description. Oscar Robertson went on ESPN’s Mike and Mike to voice his opinion.
“If I’ve got a guy who’s great shooting the ball outside don’t you want to extend your defense out a little bit? I just dot think coaches today’s game don’t understand the game of basketball. They don’t know anything about defenses. They don’t know what people are doing on the court. They talk about analytical basketball and stuff like that.”
Oscar Robertson is no doubt one of the greatest NBA players to ever play the game of basketball, and he is most certainly entitled to his own opinion. In this instance however Oscar may just have to accept that we are all witnessing greatness before our very own eyes. Steph has set the record for most consecutive games with a 3-pointer made with 128 which is ongoing. He is also on pace to break his own record for most 3-pointers made in a season which he set last year at 286. It seems as if Steph Curry is doing something on a nightly basis to amaze us all. Only thing that is left for him to do at this point is to add more hardware to his collection then his greatness can not be denied.
