It’s no secret that Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday has missed a significant amount of time due to injuries. A stress reaction in the right leg has forced Holiday to miss 90 games combined in the prior two seasons. Being cautious was the best way to keep Holiday on the floor this season and so far it has worked for both sides. Holiday spoke to the media on Saturday, and shared his thoughts about the injury.
“Obviously, anything can happen. One bad move and I’ll be right back where I started.” said Holiday via Justin Verrier of ESPN. ” I have to go out there and give it my all. If it happens, it happens.”
Since coming off the bench Holiday has averaged 18.3 points and 7.1 assists per game after the new year since coming off the bench. Holiday is in his seventh season, and third with the Pelicans.
