In order to get to the final four in Houston, one of the main ingredients your team must have is chemistry. Talent alone can only take you so far (ask LSU).
Having said that, you still need some talent to go deep in the tournament and the following five prospects can not only help their respective team, but they can also help themselves.
Diamond Stone, C, Maryland – Before the season, freshman big man Diamond Stone was looked at as a lottery pick without question.
Stone has great size at 6-foot-10, 250 pounds and he’s agile enough to great mismatches inside. However, take away his 39 point and 12 rebound performance against Penn State back in late December and you’ll realize that Stone hasn’t lived up to expectations at all.
In result, the Terrapins have been wildly inconsistent for most of the season, but as you know, things can change in an instance during the NCAA tournament. If Stone starts to play like most have expected him to, he could insert himself back into the lottery.
