Brock Osweiler on How He’ll Take What He Learned From Peyton to Texans

Brock Osweiler Peyton Manning

Brock Osweiler sat and matured under Peyton Manning and the Broncos hoped they’d have an Aaron Rodgers under Brett Favre situation set up when Peyton retired.

Instead, Osweiler decided to take his talents, and all the good Manning knowledge, with him to the Houston Texans.

In a recent interview Brock discussed what Peyton taught him during his time in Denver.

“When you start talking about what I’ve learned from Peyton and what I’ve pulled from him, we would need hours to get to the full list,” Osweiler said. “The thing I truly pulled away from Peyton is how to be a pro on a daily basis, how to be the same guy Monday through Sunday, whether it’s April or whether it’s November. I’ll always be very appreciative for Peyton. Whether he knew it or not, I was watching him and he taught me how to be a pro.”

The Texans have a pretty good core and a weak division, so maybe Brock is their missing piece. As for the Broncos, Peyton isn’t walking through that door any longer and at this point Elway is the best QB in that building, so they should put some urgency on finding a new starting QB.
