BSO’s NXT Takeover: Dallas Preview & Predictions

If you’re a pro wrestling fan and haven’t seen NXT it’s time to drop everything you’re doing, subscribe to WWE Network and watch one of the best wrestling promotions in the world.

NXT serves as a developmental for WWE main roster talent but it’s so much more for true wrestling fans. Some of the best independent wrestlers in the world have signed to NXT this past year and many will be showcased during Friday night’s NXT Takeover: Dallas special.

Takeover: Dallas boast a card that’s better top-to-bottom than WrestleMania 32.

With that being said, lets jump straight into our predictions for Friday night.

Grudge Match #1: Apollo Crews vs. Elias Sampson

Robert Littal: Apollo is a slow build character. They are bringing him along slowly, not just giving him an immediate push to the top.

Prediction: Apollo keeps rising.

Kel Dansby: The NXT universe can’t stand the Elias Sampson “Drifter” character but I think it has potential. Elias is far from a good in-ring talent, which is why he’s in NXT, but a match a vet like Crews is exactly what he needs.

In return, Apollo gets a match where he can carry his opponent and become the top babyface in NXT. When Finn moves on Crews will be the longest tenured babyface and a title run will be within his reach. He’ll first have to show that he has that “it” factor Hunter looks for in his champions.

Prediction: Crews carries Sampson in the match and escapes with a tough victory.
