D’Angelo Russell have no fear, Kobe Bryant has come to your rescue.
If there is anyone’s advice D’Angelo should take at this point, its Kobe. There is nothing the 20-year vet and future Hall-of-Famer hasn’t experienced. According to TheScore.com, Kobe believes it will all pass at some point.
“All I can do is just do my best Yoda impersonations and give him that kind of sage advice, I guess. One day pass, this shall – or something like that.”
“I’m sure he’ll evolve. I’m sure he’ll grow, and I’m sure he’ll be better from it. I don’t think there’s much he can do about it now, outside of the countless apologies, there’s not really anything else he can do but just continue to perform, continue to earn the trust of his teammates and his peers and onward he goes.”
These are words D’Angelo Russell should really take to heart, remember Kobe is the same guy that admitted to committing adultery as well as snitching on Shaquille O’Neal by saying “he should have done what Shaq does (pay of his women not to say anything).”
Kobe has literally worn the shoes of both Nick Young and D’Angelo Russell, he’s been the cheater and the snitch. But what he said was true, in due time this will past and Russell will be just fine. Russell will be with the Lakers for years to come but this might push Nick Young out the door. Rumors have already begin to surface that the team plans to move on from Nick Young with hopes of not losing the locker room. I hate it had to go down this way but maybe they both learned something from this situation, Young shouldn’t have cheated and that you can’t trust a rookie with camera in this new social media era.
