The Denver Broncos team took a huge hit today. After Payton Manning announced his retirement earlier this week, Brock Osweiler decided to leave the Broncos’ offer on the table as he fled to Houston to sign with the Houston Texans. Now it looks like C.J. Anderson could be leaving Denver as well.
According to ProFootballTalk.com, Anderson has drawn interest from the Patriots, Dolphins, 49ers and Bears. The Broncos did tender Anderson at the lowest level which will give them the right to match any teams’ offer for Anderson.
The Dolphins, Bears and Patriots make a lot of sense. After Lamar Miller signed with Texans and the Bears having to replace Matt Forte, they need help in the back field. Then there are the Patriots, they just seem to always sign a key free agent so everyone is in play when you think of them.
I feel at this point someone is going to offer Anderson more money than the Broncos will be willing to match and as of right now my guess would be the Dolphins.
