Beyoncé finally speaks about the criticism surrounding her Formation video and her epic Super Bowl 50 halftime performance.
In an excerpt from her interview with Elle Magazine, she addresses the backlash she received dealing with police officers. She says:
I have so much admiration and respect for officers and the families of officers who sacrifice themselves to keep us safe. But let’s be clear: I am against police brutality and injustice. Those are two separate things.
Thank God Beyoncé cleared this up for the people who just didn’t seem to get it. She was never anti-police, she is anti-police brutality. People seem to forget that there is a difference.
