Good guy Zach LaVine is making a difference in his community.
Instead of spending that money on things he will later regret like I would, LaVine donated $10,000 from the Dunk Contest to help fund a new kitchen for the deaf in Minnesota. The Metro Deaf School will host an event unveiling the new facility and LaVine will be on hand to serve the students breakfast.
A lot of athletes do great charity work, but one of his mentors is one the most charitable players I know of- Jamal Crawford. The Jamal Crawford Foundation takes care of the people in Seattle in so many different ways. Everything from free BBQ’s (which I’ve eaten, the hamburgers were fire), to the Seattle Pro-Am, to the countless donations his charity has made to Seattle schools.
Smile people, the world isn’t all bad.
