Craig Sager is one of the most beloved reporters to have ever covered the NBA. Dwight Howard is organizing a blood drive with his D12 Foundation to honor Craig Sager.
The blood drive will take place Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Toyota Center right before their final game of the regular season against the Sacramento Kings. Howard also released a statement on behalf of the blood drive.
“I know a lot of people deal with a lot of different types of cancers and leukemia. Craig is a close friend of mine, my family. He’s part of the NBA family, and you hate to see anybody who is a part of you go through anything. I just want to do whatever I can to help.”
Everyone who donates or attempts to donate will receive commemorative t-shirt featuring an illustration of Howard and Sager together.
