Janet Jackson has decided to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour due to her plan to start a family with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana. She had previously cancelled dates in Europe before making the official announcement. Quote thanks to US Magazine:
“Hey, you guys,” she began the video message Wednesday. “On August 31, as you probably know, I launched the Unbreakable World Tour. First, I just want to thank all the fans for coming out and seeing the show … We’re in the second leg of the tour, and there has actually been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you would be the first to know: My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.”
This left fans in an uproar after a ticketing agency sent them an e-mail with all of the details:
Ticket holders subsequently received an email from Ticketmaster, stating that until further notice, the new turn of events would be treated as a postponement and not a cancellation — and fans would therefore not be receiving refunds.
A rep for Live Nation told Us Weekly that refunds would be available:
New dates will be announced at a later time, and tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refunds are also available at the point of purchase. Stay tuned to JanetJackson.com and LiveNation.com for further info.”
I knew a lot of people who were planning a trip to see Janet one last time, she is beloved like no other, but like Big Worm once said ‘playing with my money is like playing with my emotions’.
