A source who requested to remain anonymous has told the Associated Press that the Minnesota Timberwolves will interview ESPN analyst Mark Jackson for the vacant head coach position. This comes after conducting interviews with former coaches Tom Thibodeau and Jeff Van Gundy. The team has not yet some publicly regarding the coaching search.
After struggling in his first season as head coach of the Warriors, Jackson bounced back to lead the team to a 2 straight playoff appearances before being fired for differences with the front office. He definitely deserves some credit for the Warriors recent success. He play a part in drafting Klay, Harrison and Draymond.
He has shown the ability to lead a team of young talent, which is exactly what the Timberwolves roster consist of. If he could find a way to put the ego to the side and develop a healthy relationship with the front office, Jackson could have that team competing for a playoff spot next year.
