Robert Nkemdiche has made headlines for all of the wrong reasons the last year after he fell out of a window, was charged with possession of marijuana, and suspended from the Sugar Bowl effectively ending his collegiate career.
As he prepares for the NFL Draft, a story has come out about how he plans on buying a panther with his NFL money. Quote via ESPN:
And he’s watching Instagram videos of domesticated panthers. He likes the black ones, likes how their eyes glow. He stares at shots of people playing with panthers, wrestling with them as if they were dogs, nudging faces, fearless when they open their mouths. “It’s sick.”
It’s insane.
“No, it’s not. They’re like cats…If someone comes over and is scared, I’ll put the panther away.”
If Nkemdiche wants a panther I suggest taking care of my cat for a week. Cats are killing machines. Their life cycle consists of hunting, eating, grooming, and sleeping. That’s what they do- even house cats. They will not be fulfilled without it. You can’t have an indoor-outdoor panther. He’s not going to kill mice or birds like a house cat he is going to kill everyone around him.
