Steph & Ayesha Curry are a shining example of the modern day, all-American family.
Add to that, their adorable 3 year old stealing the show at last year’s NBA Finals press conferences:
Since adding another beautiful baby girl to the mix (and systematically devouring almost the entire NBA this season) , the Curry family has a ton to be thankful for.
In a new interview with Parents Magazine, The Currys explain how they make parenting work for them, and how they keep balance & order to a situation that could easily fly out of control.
Ayesha Curry details just how her 3-year-old, Riley, stole the hearts of NBA fans around the world for the first time:
“Riley wanted to hang out with me. She had that look, like she wasn’t going to take no for an answer,” he says. “She sat up there, and that’s when her personality shined bright. … She’s got a great sense of humor.”
Since then, according to Curry, she’s become “the star of the family.”
“If we go somewhere without her, the first question people ask us is, ‘Where’s Riley?’ ” the Golden State Warriors player, 28, says.
With a new baby around, Ayesha also went on to explain how Steph’s demeanor helps keep everything calm, even at hectic moments:
“It’s an event to get all four of us out of the house at once. When we get in the car and we’ve brought everything and everybody has socks on, it’s like a dream come true.”
“The thing I love about him is that he’s not too cool for school,” Ayesha says. “He’ll get down on the floor and play with the girls. He’ll put on dress-up clothes if he has to, and he’s very patient, which is something I’m not. We balance each other out.”
It’s pretty amazing that Steph has the time to dominate most of the NBA, and be super-dad, then again; when you’re off work early most nights, it does make things a tad easier.
